I don't know that it's bad, but WHS-Vail will be confined to a 10-client workgroup, and SBS-Aurora to a 25-client domain. For me, the major cost of choosing Aurora is upgrading the clients from Win7-Home to Win7-Pro, so they can join the domain. Doesn't seem worth it. But for MS to keep making this stuff and paying for it, they have to segment the market, sometimes in arbitrary ways.

So, is Windows Home Server a crippled version of SBS, or is Aurora uncrippled version of WHS (ADS seems to be the only difference)? No matter how you dice it, it sounds bad.

Thanks Tim! We're looking forward to getting some video contributions from you down the road.

Sure is great to be able to talk about Aurora now - what a fantastic way for MSPs and VARs to start stepping into the Cloud with a fantastic hybrid solution...
